Bin by Bin

In beta

Know what you own and where it lives.

Bin by Bin turns a photo of a full bin into a searchable inventory, so the question is never “did we keep it?” and never “which box?” again.

Smart Search in Bin by Bin: searching “winter gear” surfaces camping and holiday bins by meaning.
The Bin by Bin bins list, grouped by room, each bin showing a cover photo and item count.

Storage is not the problem. Recall is.

You already labeled it

And the label says "kitchen misc", which was true in 2019.

You already photographed it

Somewhere in a camera roll of 40,000 photos, unsorted and unsearchable.

So you buy another one

The second cordless drill costs more than every bin in the garage.

What it does

Smart Scan

Photograph a bin and let it name what is inside: one item or the whole shelf. You correct what it got wrong instead of typing from nothing.

Search the way you talk

Semantic search over everything you own. "The blue camping stove" finds it even when you filed it as a propane burner.

Rooms, bins, then things

The hierarchy your house already has. Photo grids, pinned bins, and per-room color so the garage never looks like the attic.

Loan tracking

Mark what went out the door and to whom. Due dates turn into reminders, so the drill comes back.

Dates that matter

Warranties, expiries, and service dates become local reminders: no notification server required.

Or host it yourself

The same app runs against your own NAS. Your photos and your inventory stay on hardware you own.

Start with one bin.

The whole house is a daunting project. One shelf is a photo. Bin by Bin is built so the inventory grows the way the mess did, a bit at a time.
